Manitou-Mail is a free database-driven Mail User-Agent that differs from other mail programs by its architecture: there is a user interface than can run on Unix/Linux or Windows and is a pure database application, and separate server-side Perl scripts that interact with the mail system (smtp and pop and imap servers)
